Walk into ByFarr Design House and turn right. There, you’ll find a room with floor to ceiling windows with sunlight streaming in and illuminating the 1905 Chandler & Price letterpress.

There is something deeply satisfying, magical, and humbling for our entire team knowing that we’re running pieces for customers on machinery that is over 100 years old. Thousands of printers have printed before us (including our all-time favorite, Benjamin Franklin) and we’re proud to carry on the tradition as a new generation of printers.

Fig believes in supporting neighbors and strengthening local economies. In fact, it’s at the very heart of what we do.

In 2017, ByFarr Design House met Fig Industries and realized that their missions aligned: To elevate the small, local businesses that make our community so vibrant.

Each quarter, our team produces from start to finish a magazine that highlights the small businesses, entrepreneurs, events, and nonprofits that make Columbia and Aiken shine. It begins with gathering together those that want to be a part of the issue and continues through creating a concept for each page of the book, coordinating photoshoots, carefully hand selecting each word, and designing every detail to produce a coffee table worthy highlight of the best each town has to offer their community.
